Why Engine Type Matters

At Fields Chrysler Jeep® Dodge Sanford, we are proud to be one of the leading Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep dealers in Florida. Part of being a leading dealership means providing our customers with all the resources they need to find the car of their dreams, and to us, nothing is quite as important as the engine type in your vehicle.

What does an engine type mean for your vehicle? Well, your engine type can define anything from overall performance to fuel efficiency, to the amount of engine noise you’ll experience in the cabin. No matter how you look at it, engine type can define your overall driving experience from top to bottom. There are three different kinds of engine types out there, four-cylinder, V6, and V8 engines. As you may expect these engine types are defined by the number of cylinders in the engine. While different cars utilize these cylinders differently, typically the more cylinders in your engine the greater the horsepower and torque at your disposal. At the same time, a vehicle with four-cylinders is going to be more fuel efficient, simply because they’ll require less fuel to power them.

So which engine type is best for you? The answer to this question all depends on what you expect out of your vehicle. If you’re a fan of off-roading and performance, something with a V6 engine like the Jeep Wrangler might be a good fit. Alternatively, if you’re a daily commuter and appreciate a higher MPG rating, something like the Chrysler Pacifica might be more your speed.

No matter which engine type fits your automotive needs, our team at Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge Sanford are here to help you find the perfect vehicle for you. To us, finding the right car is important, and engine type is but one of the many factors we use to help you search for your ideal vehicle.
