At Fields Chrysler Jeep® Dodge RAM Sanford we’re always excited to learn more about a new vehicle. That even applies to new concepts, especially since some of them end up becoming production vehicles themselves! One concept that stands a good chance of becoming a real car that we’ll get to be behind the wheel of is the Dodge Charger Widebody. FCA US LLC recently brought it to Spring Fest 14, where it made a big splash.
Spring Fest is an event in Detroit that celebrates every car built on the brand’s LX platform. That includes models like the Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300, and more. If you like sedans and muscle cars built by the Chrysler and Dodge brands, this is the event for you. So it’s no surprise that FCA US LLC brought the Dodge Charger Widebody Concept here to gauge interest in a possible production model.
The Dodge Charger already offers plenty of options and it’s due for a refresh for the 2020 model year, so adding in a widebody version of this new Dodge car wouldn’t actually be that surprising. The concept has front and rear fascias that differ from the current model, and more changes for the 2020 model could be in store. The trim levels likely to get the widebody treatment are the R/T Scat Pack and Hellcat. As you might already know, these models are focused on performance. A Dodge Charger Widebody would handle a little differently, and it’s probably something that muscle car enthusiasts will be excited to try out. We can’t wait to learn more about a potential production version!
