If you’re familiar with Jeep® vehicles like the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and RAM trucks such as the 2019 RAM 1500, it’ll come as no surprise to you that a Jeep SUV and a RAM truck recently dominated the competition at this year’s Mudfest. Hosted by the Northwest Automotive Press Association every year, Mudfest is where some of the northwest’s top automotive journalists pick the most capable vehicles in several automotive classes.
As Jeep dealers serving Orlando, FL and nearby areas, we’re thrilled to tell you that the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler was named the 2018 Northwest Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year during Mudfest earlier this month. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler also took top honors in the Compact and Mid-Size Utility Vehicle category and the Extreme Capability automotive class.
The all-new Jeep Wrangler wasn’t the only award-winner at Mudfest. The 2019 RAM 1500 was also recognized as the top vehicle in its class. More specifically, the all-new RAM 1500 was named the winner in the Pickups category during Mudfest.
“[The] Jeep [brand] has taken the [Jeep] Wrangler to a new level, adding safety, technology, and on-road refinement to its unparalleled off-road prowess. NWAPA members were impressed by the…[SUV’s] performance both on and off the road,” said John Vincent, President of NWAPA. “The 2019 Ram 1500 once again raises the bar for full-size pickup comfort and refinement. It features a cabin that rivals luxury cars, and capability to do any work that it is asked.”
“The Jeep Wrangler and the Ram 1500 Rebel have well-earned reputations for capability,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep & Ram Brands. “Winning a head-to-head third-party off-road comparison test, such as Mudfest, is clearly yet another strong endorsement for the Jeep and Ram brands.”
