It is official; RAM trucks have set a new Guinness World Records™ title, and we here at Fields Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM are thrilled. On Saturday April 18, 2015, 451 RAM truck owners helped to set the record for largest parade of pickup trucks.
The record was set in Arlington, Texas and broke the previous world record of 438 trucks. The truck owners came from seven different states in the U.S. and from Canada. This record was broken during the RAM Truck Round-up that was set in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Academy of Country Music Awards, which was the next day. The RAM Truck Round-up parade route started in AT&T Stadium on the east side and went through 3.2 miles around the stadium and neighboring Blog Life Park Grounds. The participants were also treated to a morning full of activities such as music performances by Austin based band Midnight Social, giveaways from RAM brand partners, car-crushing appearances by Raminator monster truck and appearances by country music artists Thomas Rhett, Easton Corbin and Kix Brooks. The participants also received tickets to the ACM Party for a Cause Festival in Globe Life Park.
Our RAM dealership serving Orlando is so proud to hear this. We know there are so many great RAM trucks out on the road today, like the 2015 RAM 1500, which is powered by one of three different engines. The first is a 3.6 liter Pentastar® V6 engine that puts out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. Next there is a 5.7 liter HEMI® V8 engine that delivers 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Lastly there is a 3.0 liter Ecodiesel V6 engine.
