Pickup truck enthusiasts are clamoring about the upcoming 2021 RAM 1500 TRX. Right now, details are still scant, but some information has been leaked.
What do we know so far about this new RAM 1500 and what distinguishes it from the outgoing model? Visit Fields Chrysler Jeep® Dodge RAM of Sanford to find out.
Under the hood of the 2021 RAM 1500 TRX is a HEMI® V8 engine that cranks out up to 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Combined with the TRX suspension, this pickup is primed for off-road and rough terrain driving. A revised flared fender also increases body width by a very noticeable eight inches.
The 2021 RAM 1500 TRX features enhanced trailering ability thanks to the inclusion of the Trailer Reverse Control system. This function essentially auto-steers for you while backing up with a trailer in tow.
In addition, power-folding trailer mirrors are also now available as a standalone option, as is a trailer camera preparation kit.
Modifications have been made to the grille and hood of the 2021 RAM 1500 TRX. If you opt for the limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary trim, expect unique badging embossed in the exterior and interior of the vehicle.
The cabin of the 2021 RAM 1500 TRX almost feels like a small home. The driver’s seat reclines and is ventilated, and the upholstery is cladded in soft leather. The dashboard is adorned in a smooth wood trim, and the infotainment system has been upgraded with a vertically-positioned touchscreen.
If you need additional storage for small items, you’ll find fully-functional RamBox bins under the rear floor that can also be incorporated into the cargo bed walls.
