If you’ve driven by our Florida Dodge dealership near Orlando or you’ve looked through our new car inventory online recently, you’ve probably noticed the 2018 Dodge Durango. And you probably thought that the SUV looks pretty familiar. While that may be the case, the new Dodge Durango has even more to love than previous iterations of the popular, three-row SUV.
The SUV’s current generation started in the 2011 model-year, but the Dodge Durango experienced an extensive refresh just three years later. That update introduced the SUV’s pleasing eight-speed automatic transmission, a reworked cabin, and an available 8.4-inch touchscreen.
For the 2018 model-year, the Dodge brand made even more appealing changes to the Dodge Durango, including the introduction of the performance-oriented SRT trim. Equipped with a 6.4-liter, eight-cylinder engine, the SRT model can generate 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The SUV can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds as well. When properly equipped, the SRT trim can tow a maximum of 8,600 pounds.
As a Deltona, FL-area Dodge dealer, we’re excited to tell you that you’ll get to enjoy a session at the SRT Track Experience driving school if you buy or lease an SRT model. While that’s a once in a lifetime experience for most drivers, the SRT trim has plenty of features you’ll be able to enjoy every day.
In addition to the technology and comfort features you’d expect to find on a new Dodge car, the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT has performance features. These features include specially-tuned steering, an adaptive suspension, and a limited-slip differential that’s controlled electronically. The SUV is also equipped with SRT Performance Pages, which allow you to configure a variety of performance parameters.
